Hello Everybody,
My name is Christine and I am new to this community. I am looking for penpals from Asia like Japan and China. I love Asian culture like the clothes, people, tradition, customs, and meeting new people. I like to read celebrity bios, celebrity gossip, traveling, female fronted bands, gothic stuff, British Royal Family, shopping, make-up, movies, myspace, tv shows like Law and Order. I like sending letters in the mail and love recieving them in return. I prefer female penpals who are between the ages of 30-35. love, C

All about me :) [10 Dec 2006|11:22am]

Hey everyone! I'm looking for penpals now, so drop me a line at brina_mezzaluna@yahoo.com.sg or drop a comment here if you want to be my penpal :)

Name: Brina (Bri-na)
Personality: Protective of my friends, kind, compassionate, lazy when it comes to homework... and the list goes on
Interesting Facts: I can't cook. My mum keeps me away from the kitchen. Heh. I almost set the kitchen on fire a few times, and naturally, I almost failed the cooking part of the home economics in school. I'm not homophobic and I don't discriminate.
Nickname: Brin-san, Brin-chan, Brin
Birthday: November 9, 1991
Age: 15
Preferred age of penpal: Any age near mine, preferbly.
Current Residence: Singapore
Eyes: Black
Hair: Brown-black
Height: 5'1
Astrological Sign: Scorpio
Chinese Zodiac Sign: Lamb
Favorite Music: *not in order* My Chemical Romance, Evanascence, BOA, Utada Hikaru, Eminem, Beyonce, Pussycat Dolls, Ayumi Hamasaki, FIR, Do as Infinity, Jay Chou, TATU, Tata Young, Linkin Park
Favorite Anime: Fullmetal Alchemist, Ouran High School Host Club, InuYasha, Naruto, Shaman King, Canvas 2, Bleach
Favorite Genres: Romance/Mystery
Favorite Books: Harry Potter, Stephen King, Anne Rice, Jeffrey Archer, Nora Roberts, Catherine Cox
Other Interests: Dogs, hamsters, writing fanfictions, taekwondo, and many more!
A list of things that you wouldn't mind getting: stuff from your country or state, stickers, anything really.
A list of things that you wouldn't mind sending: Whatever you want, as long as it's not illegal and expensive.
How many pen pals do you want?: One or two?
What gender do you want them to be?: Don't really care
Where do you want them to be from?: Anywhere
Languages spoken: English and Chinese
What are you looking for in a penpal?: Same interests would be a plus. A friend who understands and who has a sense of humor. Preferbly one who can write regularly and long letters :)
Do you type or handwrite?: Handwrite... that's the main part of penpals, isn't it? My letters should be around two to three pages long. I write in rather small fonts, though.
How many penpals currently?: None, I'm a newbie to penpaling. I prefer to write second though, since I have that weird panaroia that people wouldn't write back to me :X
A picture of me: Check out this link: http://www.friendster.com/user.php?uid=13077250

Well, that's all about me. :)

i'd really like it if people would be willing to send me postcards from everywhere. i have this map on my wall that i'm going to mark up and make pretty with postacrads and currency to all the places i plan to visit in my lifetime, but i want something  that actually came from that place. pictures of destination and things. i'm also intersted in swapping currency with people from other countries. nothing too big, just coins and the lowest bill.
if you're interested, please let me know. this is someting i am serious about and am looking forward to meeting tons of new people and learning about them.

I am a 26 year old female from Vancouver, Canada and I am interested in finding penpals from anywhere in the world, but especially asia, new zealand, australia and the islands around there.

I am in my 3rd year in university studying Asian Studies and Art history (indigenous art). i will be in new zealand (auckland) for exchange February to july 2007, and traveling around eastern australia in January.

I am a vegan who loves to cook and bake, paint, go to museums and art galleries, travel, read (novels but also interesting magazines), watch movies of all kinds except horror and thrillers (some are okay), listen to music (anything from folk to hip-hop), hike and walk, etc.

i love nature, organic foods, coffee, getting and receiving letters, going hiking or for walks...

please reply to this post or email me (address listed on my userpage) if you'd like to be penpals.

New Member. [07 Sep 2005|07:40pm]

Hi, I have been looking all over the internet for a way to get a penpal from an Asain country or Aussie and all I got was a bunch of sickos that were perverts and wasted my time. I am really just interested in the countries and what it is like to live in them. I'm from the USA and have always wanted to visit different countries but 'm a poor college student who is terrified of flying. So I did a search on livejournal and found this place and though it was great. So even if I just get to hang around and learn a bit about the countries I'll be happy.

Need help w/a slam return... X-Posted. [12 Jun 2005|11:41am]

Hi! Any help would be great!

I have a slam made in 2000 for a "Ferny Cheerio" who lived in Los Angeles, CA.
It was made by Joanna Fulton in Australia.
The only ICR was a Wende Cook in Hudsonville, MI from 2001.

I have attempted to e-mail both for current addresses & have received returned mail.

Can anyone help me get this back to its owner???

Looking for a little help! [25 May 2005|10:41am]

[ mood | hopeful ]

Hello to All!
My name is Beth and I am working on a project to help out at a nursing care facility near me. My mother works there and enlisted my help. The place is Harborside Westlake, and the people are great! Having been through many nursing home experiences with my grandmothers, I know what they can be like. The staff at Harborside is incredible! The unit I am working with is the Lighthouse unit – for patients with Alzheimer’s and varying forms/levels of dementia. The current project is to create “nostalgia boxes”. Each box will contain different themes for the residents to touch, play with, and reminisce with.

My assignment (and this is where all you lovely people come in) is to collect postcards. From all over the world, of all themes and sizes. Feel free to write a message on the back, or just jot a note that says it’s the “Postcard Box Project”. Send one, send two, send 50 if you are so moved! Old, new, color, black and whites, textured, photographic - Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated.

Please mail them to:
Beth Van Tilburg
9161 Crescent Blvd. #202
Broadview Heights, OH 44147

We decided to have them sent to me instead of Harborside for control purposes, and so that no “sticky” fingers find them before they make it to the Lighthouse Unit!

Thank you all!

Hi all,

A quick cheerio from sunny Canberra! I'm a postcard collector and I found this community via jaffacakegirl's page (who I found via PPCO on yahoo groups...!).

Um... that's probably about all for now. Looking forward to getting to know everyone!
